Fall 2008

We had a great end to the summer. Finn did a lot of camping and he was a trooper, a natural, one might say, which is a good thing for our family. This has been a fun fall so far. We spent sometime in Lake Tahoe with the Goss' in September though Finn and Alex both got the stomach flu. Finn now has four teeth. He continues to be so much fun. He is mostly sleeping through the night and is eating solid foods. He changed daycare centers in September and he and we love the new place. The people are wonderful and Finn loves all of the structures to explore and activities they provide.

Finn is standing! He started standing and crawling in earnest by the end of September. It is pretty fun. He moves with a mission.

Finn loves standing.

We went to the pumpkin patch with Ryan, Kelly, and Henry. It was a cool, beautiful fall day. A perfect day for pumpkins!

Finn enjoyed all the pumpkins and playing in the dirt.

Finn was a sock monkey for his first Halloween. He was a champ with the costume, though the hat didn't last very long.

Kitchen remodel - almost done

So these are pictures of our new kitchen. We are almost completely done with the cabinets, we just have a heck of a lot of priming and painting to do. As you can see, we have already made it a mess! But we absolutely love it. The subway tile is one of my favorite parts. These are the concrete countertops and my new windown and sink. I love having the extra window and the huge sink.

This is the new opening with the peninsula. Alex and my dad spent a long time making that all look great and figuring out the heater vent which is right under it. There are lights for two hanging pendant lights, but the ones I want are very expensive, so I am waiting a bit.
